To minimize field-assembly costs, a rectangular duct is supplied in lengths up to 4 feet. Longitudinal seams are typically made with Pittsburgh locks. In transverse joint S & C cleat joints, four-bolt connectors are available. Rectangular ductwork can be shipped completely assembled or knocked down.
